Teaching Reflective Thinking for Reflective Writing Tasks

The ability to reflect on and analyze experiences, reflective thinking, must be cultivated amongst our language learners. The presenters begin by briefly describing the key features in the reflective writing process, then they will explain how they use reflective writing tasks in their respective classrooms. Ayanna N. Abdul-Mateen is a Writing Instructor at UAEU. Her research explores student reflective writing, rubric-based instruction, and Writing Center practices. She is a member of MENAWCA.

Andwatta Barnes

EFL Instructor, UAE University
Ms. Andwatta Barnes has taught elementary school, adult education, and was an EL Fellow at Qatar University. She holds an M.Ed. in TESOL and currently teaches EAP at UAE University.
